This site refers to a book, written by Helmut Karl that deals with the measure of time and the tempi of classical music. The German title may be translated by

The author pioneers systematically and fundamentally a kind of measure, that is compatible to the reports of the 18th century. This measure doesn't go forward in steady pace; on the contrary, it is moving abundantly within itself.

The book contains a lot of examples in classical music. Some of them have been recorded by the author.

You may listen to these examples, played in the harmonic-authentic measure, by first reading carefully the following indication.
